How to use pool chemicals

Chlorine Granules are the most widely used chemical for sanitising your pool and offer an immediate solution to aid the disintegration of water impurity and bacteria.  For small swimming pools such as above ground pools, this might be the easiest and cheapest option and is generally cheaper than Chlorine Tablets, which are more commonly used in larger swimming pools.

Cheap Pool Chemicals often vary in quality.  At Softub Spas, we stock only the highest quality chemical products.  Our Chlorine Granules, although high quality, are priced very competitively.  Beware of cheaper pool chemicals elsewhere, only with us are you guaranteed the best balance of price and effectiveness.

Pool Chemical Levels are sometimes confusing to maintain at first.  For new pool or spa users, please feel free to contact us for advice and assistance.  The way to balance your water is with pH+ and pH- chemicals such as our Dry Acid and Alkali Pool Chemical Level products, and by testing levels with test strips or other tools.  If your pH levels are balanced correctly, Chlorine Granules and sanitisation products become even more effective.

Dosing pool chemicals can be dangerous so much care and attention is needed.  It is best to dose little and often to maintain balance, rather and big swings from larger doses over longer periods.  This is why careful testing is required, and also why many pool users opt to use a combination of granulated and tabulated chlorine products. Our Chlorine Granules are available in 1kg and 5kg bottles.  Completely soluble, containing 55% of available chlorine and very easy to use.  For the best results pre-dissolve in warm water, distributing the Chlorine Granules solution evenly around your pool.
