Chlorine

Chlorine is used for sanitisation of swimming pools and spas.  Pool chlorine works to kill bacteria and impurities in the water.  All our chlorine is manufactured to grade 1 standard and packed in the United Kingdom.  Chlorine comes in a variety of  forms.

Chlorine Tablets

Chlorine tablets are generally sold in two sizes, chlorine mini tabs and chlorine maxi tabs.  Mini chlorine tablets are mostly used in spas and hot tubs, and small above ground pools.  Larger chlorine tablets are generally used as chlorine for pools.  When using Chlorine Tablets, you will also need a floating chemical dispenser.

Swimming pool chlorine products are often combined for the best efficiency.  Liquid chlorine and shock chlorine are used for a quick sudden level of protection against bacteria, whereas chlorine tablets provide a slower gradual release for prolonged protection.  Always refer to the instructions on the container when dosing swimming pool chlorine.

Chlorine Granules

Chlorine granules are also typically used as hot tub chlorine and chlorine for spas, but can also be used in conjunction with chlorine tablets in a pool. Quality of chlorine granules varies greatly, as does the price, so beware of poorly branded and poorly labelled pool chemicals.  We sell only grade 1 quality chlorine granules.
