Chlorine - Cheap Chlorine Guide

The are many types of cheap chlorine available and many expensive brands also.  Pool chlorine comes in various forms, also some of which are more expensive than others. 

Spa chemicals such as chlorine granules and chlorine test strips are very important to maintain healthy bathing water, but costs can add up if you are not careful.  By finding a good cheap chlorine brand and associated products, you can avoid high priced alternatives that are basically the same thing.  Clever packaging and marketing, and by adding small amounts of algaecides to the chlorine, make certain brands stick out.  But effectively there is only two types of chlorine, grade 1 and grade 2.

We only sell grade 1 chlorine of the highest quality.  If it’s cheaper  than us, then it is probably grade 2 chlorine which is non-stabilised and less effective.

Chlorine granules & Chlorine Tablets

Chlorine granules are cheap and very effective as both pool chlorine and spa chlorine, although many larger pool owners tend to use chlorine tablets.  Also, if you are within reach of a pool store, liquid chlorine (or Sodium Hypochlorite) is a very economical way to sanitize your pool.

Water test strips are essential to balance your water.  Cheap chlorine, especially grade 2, can leave levels very low causing bacteria and impurities to remain in the water.  Strong pool chlorine can be dangerous if incorrectly dosed, so using test strips is important prior to use.
